Brother of the Jamaican Prime Minister delivers the Reggae album we’ve been waiting for.
Mighty Mystic who is the brother to current Jamaican Prime Minister the Honorable Andrew Holness is set to release his 4th studio album on Friday February 1st 2019. His first three albums have all received high praises as well as bolstering top 10 debuts on iTunes and reggae Billboard charts. However, this latest venture titled “Enter the Mystic” has the reggae connoisseurs whispering the word classic! Yes, it might be a little too early to use such a word, but one thing is certain the album does not disappoint.

Album SUMMARY: Mighty Mystic captures the classic elements of reggae which we all know and love from the hard driving bassline to the sword piercing guitars which cuts from track to track. The vocals seem to ride like Noah’s ark on an angry sea - biblical, graceful, firm and never without a dull moment. Every song seems to be written for a movie score, theatrical and precise. You want peace and love? Well you’ve got it. You want rebel music? Okay, that’s there too. How about political and social? Well just listen to “False Trumpet” it will take hold. Subjects like the Black man’s struggle, the Native American genocide, gang violence, the rapid growing suicide epidemic and the poor man’s plight to name a few. Yes, heavy is the crown and so too is the music but Mighty Mystic manages to keep the listener engaged and empowered. “Enter the Mystic” is a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions so strap on your seat belts and enjoy the ride.
