CEO Molly Nocon and Director of Development Mary Bones both have personal investment and history in Noah Homes. Molly's brother had down syndrome and lived in the community until he passed of Alzheimer's. Mary has a 29-year old daughter living and thriving in the community. Her daughter has non-verbal autism.

"My goal was to kick the tires and make sure that this was a wonderful place for my gem of a daughter," said Bones who worried about what the long-term future looked like for her family, a future where Mary was no longer around, "I wasn't getting any younger."

In Noah Homes, Mary found a place that would give her daughter the independence to take karate, to ice skate, and to make friends.

Noah Homes was founded 36 years ago, with one home and six residents. Today, the non-profit sits on 14 acres with ten homes and 90 residents. The population has autistic, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, Alzheimer patients and more, all living in a community tailored to their needs and designed to support independent living.

During the weekends of Dec. 13-15 and Dec. 20-22, Noah Homes will transform into a holiday display extravaganza for the second annual Enchanted Village in Spring Valley. The event and fundraiser will feature three acres of light displays, choral singers, gingerbread houses and a sled run with real snow.
